A photoshoot is not just a chance to capture beautiful images — it’s a unique experience where we will create lasting memories. Whether it’s your first time or you're familiar with the camera, it’s completely normal to feel a mix of excitement and nerves. Preparing ahead of time can make a big difference, helping you feel more confident and relaxed during the shoot. The more comfortable and ready you feel, the more natural and stunning the results will be. So I have collected some helpful tips here on this page.

Choosing the right outfit is essential for a successful photoshoot. Above all, wear something that makes you feel comfortable and truly like yourself — confidence always shines through in photos. Neutral and earthy tones tend to work beautifully, as they complement a wide range of settings and bring a soft, timeless feel to your images. You also combine earthy tones with a bright colors to make it all a bit more colorful (don’t be afraid to play with colors!) Adding layers can also elevate your look, creating visual interest while keeping you warm on chillier days.
Try to avoid an all-black outfit, especially in winter, as it can appear flat and heavy on camera. Similarly, avoid clothes with small patterns like stripes, checks, or tiny blocks, as these can cause visual distortion in photos.

There are a few things you can do to make you feel more comfortable during the shoot. The first thing is to have your outfit ready a few days before the shoot. When in doubt, choose the one you feel comfortable in. If you have no ideas about how to move or pose, I will of course help you with this but it can also help to look up inspiration beforehand. Browse through photos online or on social media to get a feel for different ideas on how to stand and move around. Don’t worry about copying exact poses; it’s more about getting a feel for the vibe that fits you best. And thereby, I’m with you during the shoot and I’ll give you plenty of tips and suggestions.

From the meeting point, we will walk to our first location. Meanwhile, we will talk a bit to get to know each other better. During the shoot, I’ll guide you through the process and encourage you to keep moving. This could mean shifting your weight, turning slightly, playing with your hands, or even walking around the space. Natural movement brings life to the images and helps avoid stiff or posed looks. Just relax and remember to have fun during the shoot!

Weather is always a factor, but it’s rarely a deal-breaker. Cloudy skies are actually great for photos, offering soft, flattering light without harsh shadows — no need to reschedule if the sun isn’t out.
If heavy rain is expected, I’ll reach out to discuss a new date or alternative options. So there is no need to worry. I will keep an eye on the forecast and I’ll be in touch if anything needs to change!
